“I am Artist”, Artist Statement Made on 1st May, 2005 STATEMENT I, Kwan Sheung-chi, have a plan, “I am Artist.”, to begin on 1st May 2005. I shall scribe, “I am Artist.”, or in Chinese, “我是藝術家。”, or in any other language which give the same meaning, repeatedly. I shall record the start & end time, duration, and date, each time I scribe the aforesaid text. I shall price the artwork under this plan by the labour I spent, on hourly-based rate. The actual rate shall be agreed between the possible buyer and me. All other cost in producing the artwork shall be covered within the price, or by myself if it exceeds the price. I shall save and use the income, from selling of the artwork under this plan, on continuing and facilitating this plan. This statement shall be renewed every year on 1st May.
